Animated, four-dimensional, medical imaging plays an important role in thoracic and cardiac surgery. Medicalholodeck now fully supports animated 4D imaging from CT, MRI, Echocardiography, and Ultrasound. 4D visualizes beating hearts, moving heart valves, and breathing lungs in immersive virtual reality, offering surgeons and educators new insights for better surgical planning and medical education.
Augmented Reality: Blend Medical Imaging With Your Own Reality
Medicalholodeck is now available for Varjo’s XR-3 augmented reality headset, enabling the immersive use of medical imaging in an augmented reality holographic space. The big advantage of the XR-3 is its incredibly high-quality video passthrough, perfectly blending medical imaging and the user’s environment. The XR3 in connection with Medicalholodeck is offering new possibilities in the fields of surgical planning and medical education.
Cinematic Rendering in Virtual Reality
The spring update includes the new Medicalholodeck Cinematic Rendering preset for virtual reality. Cinematic rendering brings a completely new level of visual fidelity to medical imaging. 3D and 4D DICOM data are now photo-realistically colored and rendered, enabling an even more realistic approach for surgical planning and medical education.
Dental 3D Data: CBCT and STL for the Perfect Teeth
Easily import dental 3D data from CBCT scanners or surface scanning devices, and enhance your surgical workflow to the third dimension. Dentists testify that Medicalholodeck is a great tool also for dentistry and orthodontics, bringing surgical planning and education to a new level.
Dissection Master XR – The Complete Virtual Human Body in VR
This update adds the last part of the human body to Dissection Master XR: the lower extremities. 8 layers of carefully dissected legs, fully annotated, are now ready for teaching and studying in virtual reality. Dissection Master XR brings a fully immersive experience for group teaching in VR to medical education.
Medicalholodeck is the platform for medical teamwork in virtual reality. Medical Imaging XR, Dissection Master XR, and Anatomy Master XR are available. The suite of apps is used for 3D surgical planning in and outside the operating room and medical education in teams in VR.
