It aims to train 1 L annually in advanced AI technologies

New Delhi: IT company Cognizant on Thursday outlined plans for a 14-acre immersive learning centre‘ at its Siruseri campus in Chennai, that would be equipped to train one lakh individuals annually in advanced AI technologies.

The proposed centre, located within the company’s 50-acre Siruseri campus, is expected to be completed in three years. „Designed to train 100,000 individuals annually, the centre will feature 14,000 seats, smart classrooms, incubator hubs, client experience spaces, design thinking centres, along with residential accommodations and wellbeing facilities,“ according to a release. In a hub-and-spoke model, this centre will also support other learning centres being developed in a phased manner across campuses in Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, and Coimbatore. The Siruseri learning centre will advance Cognizant’s learning and development ecosystem, integrating infrastructure with immersive learning, advanced AI-skilling, executive leadership and consulting programmes, the company said. As the primary training hub for Cognizant’s school graduate programme in India, it will also host intensive boot camps for fresh graduates.
