Holo-Light, a provider of immersive software and technologies for the enterprise market, has today announced that it has joined the Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance (AREA). The AREA is a global non-profit, member-based organization dedicated to widespread adoption of interoperable augmented reality- (AR) enabled enterprise systems. Holo-Light will contribute to the AREA ecosystem with expertise in XR software development, flagship engineering use cases and new technology enabling the streaming of all XR applications.

“The AREA unites the AR community with focus on the enterprise sector. Joining the AREA allows us to support the growth of a comprehensive ecosystem that will bring us closer to mass adoption and rollouts of immersive technologies,” said Luis Bollinger, CMO and Co-Founder of Holo-Light.

Holo-Light states that it aims to realize the full potential of the XR community by solving technological hurdles that apply to every player in the field, such as the limited computing power of mobile devices. The company has developed its ISAR cross-platform remote rendering SDK that allows users to stream big data XR applications in real time via powerful local servers or with unlimited cloud resources. Holo-Light also provides ARES Pro, an AR engineering software platform that enables engineers to work and collaborate on 3D CAD data.

“The adoption and growth of augmented and virtual reality require critical use cases, which demonstrate return on investment and provide added value for companies and consumers. We are committed to sharing our experience and best practices over five years on the market and look forward to shaping the future of XR with our fellow AREA members,” stated Florian Haspinger, CEO and Co-Founder of Holo-Light.

“We’re delighted to welcome Holo-Light as an AREA member,” said Mark Sage, Executive Director of the AREA. “Holo-Light’s unique expertise in streaming XR applications is sure to be of value to our other members and the broader enterprise AR ecosystem. We look forward to collaborating with the Holo-Light team.”

The AREA is working to help enterprises maximize the impact of AR by disseminating information, spearheading research, promoting dialogue, and providing up-to-date resources and neutral, reliable guidance that will aid businesses along the path of AR adoption.
