Transfr 14 new Spanish-language career pathway VR learning programmes

This week, VR career training solution provider Transfr announced 14 new Spanish-language VR programmes, following success in school districts like New Jersey and Kannapolis.

According to the firm, the new VR learning simulations cover various high-paying career paths, including sectors such as solar technician, nursing, semiconductor manufacturing, and network technician. Thanks to the new language support, those pathways are now open to more students.

Bharani Rajakumar, the Founder and CEO of Transfr, added:

More and more Americans need new pathways to upward mobility. This expansion of our VR career exploration catalog brings new opportunities to educators, learners and communities who have not previously had access to high-tech tools, training and support. Transfr will continue to lead the market with solutions to enable the workforce of the future to meet the huge demand for trained workers across emerging and growing industries.

Additionally, the Spainish-ready learning pathways come as districts like Kannapolis City Schools are experiencing a “significant growth in its Hispanic population, which now represents 41 per cent of the district,” according to Ashlyn Ozment, Career Development Coordinator at Kannapolis Middle School in North Carolina

Ozment explained that by leveraging Transfr’s solution, “we can now empower our growing population of Spanish-speaking students to explore and prepare for in-demand careers that offer upward mobility. This is a crucial step in ensuring all of our students have the resources they need to succeed.”

More on Transfr

Moreover, to match the 14 new programmes, Transfr is also debuting a Career Exploration curriculum resource, a streamlined framework for leveraging VR in the classroom, including providing teachers with customisable resources such as daily lesson plans, instructional guides, and student resources, meaning teachers can personalise the Career Exploration resource based on students’ needs and choices regarding a VR learning path.

Alongside the most recent update, the Transfr portfolio of immersive learning tools already provides more than 300 interactive training simulations covering additional learning paths in financial, robotics, CDL truck driving, and radiological sectors.

Edison Township Public Schools in New Jersey are currently leveraging the Transfr portfolio. The area’s Superintendent, Eddie Aldarelli, stated that leveraging “VR simulations into existing learning programs” allows the region’s teachers to “better engage students as they identify career pathways that meet their interests.”
