ArborXR secure $12 million to boost scalability of VR training with a strong MDM layer
This week, extended reality mobile device and content management service ArborXR announced its gain of roughly $12 million in capital, bringing the firm’s total raised capital to more than $25 million – as of writing.
The funding will help ArborXR enhance its XR device and software management solutions. Moreover, to help ArborXR scale the benefits of its unique XR-ready MDM solution, the firm received assistance in its most recent funding round via Mercury Fund and Cortado Ventures, with further participation from Impact Venture Capital and Lewis & Clark Ventures.
Brad Scoggin, the Co-Founder and CEO of ArborXR, added:
Global enterprises and institutions recognize the potential of XR to transform businesses and make way for significant cost savings, operational efficiency, and better training tools. Since its founding, ArborXR has differentiated itself as a trusted partner for enterprises looking to deploy, scale, and maximize XR within their operations. We are continuing to identify and address the time-consuming and frustrating elements of traditional MDM platforms and are working to enhance the capabilities of our solution and guide our customers throughout every step of their XR journey.
The ArborXR platform aims to assist with AR/VR/MR adoption processes in enterprises, which the firm notes is currently a slow burn among consumers and is staying under the radar within modern enterprises.
However, the firm argues that its XR MDM solutions can help modern offices, specifically hybrid environments, with scaling immersive training and upskilling to provide safe, controlled virtual learning environments. The firm also notes that this new training process could eliminate roughly 30-70 percent of training-related costs.
XR Middlewear Increases in Value
Adrian Fortino, Mercury’s Managing Director, explained that “advances in immersive technology have proven to be an untapped segment.”
While the XR space is still yet to break through to the mainstream, there is enough interest in enterprise to bring millions in funding to MDM/middleware layers, which are required to build an immersive future. The XR world is more than headsets; additional services must rise to prominence and support the growing technology sector as the puzzle grows.
Fortino also added:
ArborXR’s continued success demonstrates the technology’s value to the enterprise and its potential to transform the fundamental operations of Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, healthcare providers, and more. The ArborXR team have established themselves as a dominant force in this rapidly growing industry with a growing roster of global clientele.
ArborXR highlights how its MDM portfolio provides a centralised solution that allows companies to scale XR training and manage fleets of XR devices. Firms like Bank of America, Pfizer, Delta, Walmart, and UPS use ArborXR today to improve upskilling procedures.
Mohsen Khurasany, a current customer and Senior Manager of XR Innovation & Content at Walmart, added:
The ArborXR platform is incredibly user-friendly, and the ArborXR team’s responsiveness has allowed us to continually improve and optimize our training initiatives. ArborXR’s content sharing and release channels have streamlined our interactions with vendors, allowing us to test and deploy content effortlessly. The impact we’ve seen with XR has been remarkable, leading to better engagement, improved knowledge retention, and faster time to proficiency. As we scale XR training across the enterprise, ArborXR stands out as the best enterprise MDM solution on the market.
