Changefied launches a free, immersive platform for navigating the Netherlands‘ public transport
Recently, Changefied launched a new targeted immersive learning platform on the Meta Quest portfolio. The firm debuted Dutch Virtual Public Transport, a training application developed alongside Dutch transport organizations that provides a virtual reality simulation of the region’s public transport system to help international visitors and neurodivergent individuals understand routes.
Tim van Dam, CEO of Changefied, noted that the Dutch Virtual Public Transport VR experience allows users to “prepare visitors to the Netherlands for using Dutch public transport so that they can confidently travel as soon as they arrive.
The solution is a spin-off of the firm’s Virtual OV learning platform, allowing users to practice in a safe, virtual environment with features that simulate trip planning, checking in, navigating stations, and transferring between routes.
The training solution, ready for Meta Quest 3 and 3S headsets, is available at the Meta Quest store for free.
Targeted for Visitor Requirements
“We expect this to have a positive impact on tourism and the overall travel experience in the Netherlands,” van Dam noted. The firm explained how the immersive training platform could combine education and virtual tourism to entice visitors to the region.
Moreover, the parent Virtual OV learning platform is targeted to support neurodivergent learners, with Changefied working with Dutch healthcare institutions to develop targeted step-by-step training solutions.

This is not the first training solution from Changefied. The firm’s Virtual TechLab allows users to practice assembling IT components in a virtual environment “without limitations,” such as hardware, time, and money constraints, according to the Meta store description.
