Spatial business intelligence and 3D data visualization company, LlamaZOO Interactive Inc., has recently announced the launch of EasyAnatomy 2020, the company’s augmented reality (AR) anatomy app. EasyAnatomy features a medically accurate 3D canine model that students, professors, and professionals can use for learning or reference on smartphones, tablets, and portable and desktop computers.

EasyAnatomy allows students to study, dissect and learn through virtual canine anatomy in AR from the comfort of their own homes using a smartphone or tablet device, making it a useful tool throughout COVID-19’s “new normal”, according to LlamaZOO. Even with access to classes and dissection labs being limited, veterinary students can still get hands-on experience with canine dissection.

The EasyAnatomy content has been created in collaboration with educational institutions and anatomy and veterinary professors, and is based on CT & MRI medical imaging. As a result, professors will be able to support lecture and virtual lab classes. LlamaZOO stated that an updated interface will make it more intuitive to rotate, zoom, explore, and virtually dissect the complete and complex canine anatomy layer by layer, allowing students to learn through clear labels and clinically focused notes.

Students will also be able to take interactive quizzes thanks to the company’s AI algorithm-based adaptive quizzing system, which features over 700 professionally written questions. “EasyAnatomy is a way to learn and view anatomy that simply isn’t possible anywhere else”, said Dr. Rachel Norris, Head of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience at the University of Adelaide.

According to LlamaZOO, users of EasyAnatomy 2020 can expect the following features:

– Improved performance and content;

– A modern update to the User Interface making it more intuitive and easy to us;

– Simplified account creation, and reduced subscription costs, making anatomy education more accessible;

– Hundreds of various fixes, bugs squashed, and improvements.

LlamaZOO CEO and President, Charles Lavigne, commented: “We’re always innovating in 3D technology, but with EasyAnatomy we’re also innovating in education. We’re really providing new ways to learn. EasyAnatomy 2020 makes anatomy easier to explore and understand, and in turn makes tomorrow’s vets more knowledgeable and able to save the lives of more of our furry friends and companions”.

EasyAnatomy is available for download now from the Apple App Store, and the Microsoft Store. For more information, see the EasyAnatomy website.
